Description
Numbers 9 (The Old Barn Cottage) and 11 are two dwellings that date back to 1670, as indicated by the initials "W over M P" on the north gable end. The building is constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and features a Collyweston stone slate roof with coped gables and ridge, along with stacks at the north end. It stands two storeys high and has a four-window range. The entrance door is set within a four-centred arched surround, with a hood band that extends over a neighbouring two-light window. The property also includes two- and three-light stone mullioned windows that are ovolo-moulded and fitted with iron casements. There is a 20th-century one-storey extension to the south that incorporates the entrance to Number 9, along with some 20th-century windows in the north gable.
