Description
Geeston House is an early 19th-century house constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings. It has a Collyweston stone slate roof with end and ridge stacks. The house is two storeys and has attics. The front, facing the garden, is arranged with a three-bay central block flanked by projecting gables. A band divides the ground and first floors, and the eaves are supported by delicate brackets. The ground floor has two doorways with moulded architraves, the one on the right being blocked. The first floor has a central niche surrounded by 12-pane sash windows, all with moulded architraves. There are two semi-circular dormers with glazing bars. The projecting wings on either side have full-length 16-pane sash windows within moulded architraves with cambered heads on the ground floor. The first floor of these wings has full-length casement windows with glazing bars opening onto balconies, a band above, and semi-circular gable windows. A wing to the rear is likely of 18th-century origin.
