Description

The Old Post Office is a cottage dating from the 17th to early 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone and features a thatched roof with a brick central ridge and end stacks. The building has one and a half storeys and includes casement windows, with two sets of 2-light windows and a 6-panelled door alongside a glazed door. There are three eyebrow dormers above, two of which have 2-light windows, while the third has a 1-light window with a centre-opening 3-light. A massive buttress with quoins is located between the doors, and the structure is finished with wooden lintels.
