Description

The Old Vicarage is an 18th-century house with a wing added in 1862. It is constructed of red brick with stone quoins, a brick band, a moulded brick cornice, and features a twin span hipped roof covered in Collyweston slate. A large brick central valley stack has a line of seven square chamfered flues linked at the top. The building is two storeys high. The right side wall is made of rubble stone and includes the 1862 wing, which has a 20th-century tile roof.

The entrance is located within two arches of a 19th-century stone two-storey corner extension that connects the original house and the wing. This area features stone mullion and transom windows. On the main range to the left, there is a two-storey canted stone bay with a hipped roof, along with a French window and a 2/2 sash window above it. The right side of the house faces Main Street, while the rear overlooks the Church. The right side has three 2/2 sash windows above a rectangular stone mullion bay and another 2/2 sash window. The roof is partly covered with Welsh slate. From left to right, there is a four-light mullion and transom window with a similar three-light window above, a tripartite sash window on both floors with the upper being a Venetian type window, and a 2/2 sash window on both floors with a two-light hipped dormer above. The house is part of an important group with the Church.
