Description
Chestnut Farm House is a house dating from the late 17th century to the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone, featuring a plinth in part, quoins, and a 20th-century tile roof with brick ridge and end stacks. The gables are coped with stone. The building has an L-shaped plan, with a wing that projects forward on the left side. It has one and a half storeys and includes two wide, low 4/4 sash windows, with a similar half-dormer window above. There is a part-glazed door to the left. On the inner return of the wing, there is a 2-light casement window and a 1-light casement window, both with a 4/4 sash half-dormer above. The front gable end of the wing features a 2-light casement window on both floors. Inside, there are beams, wooden lintels, and stone sills.
