Description

No 16 on Mill Street is an early 18th-century cottage. It is built of coursed stone and has a stone slate roof with a ridge tile. The cottage features two gabled dormers and brick chimneys that have a modillion cornice made of vitrified brick. It is two storeys high and has modern windows with wooden casements. The windows have segmental arches with keystones, while the ground floor has flat lintels with a keystone. The doorway is similar in style, featuring a modern door with a fanlight above. This building is included for its group value, as it is part of a row with Nos 10 to 16 (even).
