Description
Yule House is a late 17th-century building, with a date stone on the south (garden) front inscribed "ABS 1700". It is constructed of coursed stone and features a stone slate hipped roof. The building has chamfered stone quoins and a stone band, along with a moulded stone eaves cornice. There are two stone stacks and three cambered dormers fitted with sliding sashes. The house is two-storeys high and has five windows, all of which are hung sashes with plain stone surrounds. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door set within a moulded stone shouldered architrave, featuring panelled reveals and a rectangular three-light fanlight above. An elliptical moulded wood hood supported by wood brackets covers the entrance, which is accessed by four stone steps. At the back, there is a wing that appears to be from the early 17th century, characterized by small windows with moulded stone cornices. This building stands on the site of an earlier house.
