Description

Nos 18 to 24 on Mill Street are early 19th century cottages built as a single composition in painted brick. They feature a hipped slate roof with wide eaves and a brick band at the first floor cill level. The quoins are designed to break forward, and the central section, which contains Nos 20 and 22, also projects forward. The cottages are two stories tall and have eight windows arranged in a 2:4:2 pattern, with plain reveals and segmental brick arches. The entrances have four-panelled doors set back in similar reveals, topped with blind rectangular fanlights.
