Description

The gateway and railings to the Canal Museum in Nottingham date from 1895 and were converted in 1980-1981. Originally built for Fellows, Morton & Clayton Ltd, the structure features cast-iron and wrought-iron elements with an ashlar plinth. It includes a pair of chamfered square cast-iron gate piers with plinths and concave-sided pyramidal caps, along with a pair of spiked wrought-iron gates and a small side gate to the left. To the right, there is a spiked wrought-iron railing on a chamfered plinth, approximately 35 meters long. This gateway and railings are included for their group value.
