Description

This is a terrace of houses, now offices, built around 1840 and restored in the late 20th century. The terrace is located on Clarendon Street, Nottingham. The buildings are constructed of red brick with slate roofs and feature a single gable and four ridge stacks, three of which retain their original corbelling. The design includes a plinth and a renewed wooden eaves cornice. The windows are mostly original sash windows with glazing bars, set within brick flat arches. The terrace is three storeys high with a fifteen-window range. Number 30, at the left end, has a projecting front with two windows and a curved brick boundary wall enclosing the front garden, featuring chamfered coping and a renewed gate. The ground floor has alternating pairs of windows and doors, which are mostly original with overlights. A late 19th-century canted bay window is located in the eleventh bay. The upper floors have regular fenestration, with irregularly spaced blank openings.
