Description

The Elms, now two houses, is an early 18th-century building that was later altered and extended in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick with brick detailing and has a renewed plain tile roof with a rendered gable stack and a rear wall stack. The building features first-floor and eaves bands and is two storeys plus garrets, originally with a five-window range. The windows are 19th-century sashes with brick flat arches. The central doorcase has a flat hood on brackets, and is flanked by two windows on each side. Above, there is a line of five windows. The right return has a single sash window on each floor. A lower rear wing, two storeys tall with three windows, has a rendered ground floor and a slate roof.
