Description
Blenheim Farmhouse and the attached barn are a farmhouse and barn built in the early 18th century, with some alterations made in the mid-20th century. The structure is made of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and features a plain tile roof with three brick gable stacks. The building is two storeys high, plus garrets, and has three bays.
The central doorway has an original six-panel part-glazed door, which is topped by an ashlar hood supported on brackets and enclosed by a mid-20th century glazed porch. On either side of the doorway, there are 20th-century three-light casement windows with rubble stone wedge lintels. Above the doorway, there are two similar windows, and a small garret window is located in the right gable.
The barn, located to the right of the farmhouse, features a central stable door with a rubble stone wedge lintel. The right gable end has a small fixed light window flanked by stable doors with wooden lintels. Above these, there are a pair of stone flight ledges, a three-light window, and a wooden panel with two pigeon openings.
Inside the farmhouse, there are chamfered beams with label stops, an original staircase, and panelled doors. The barn retains a queen post roof and stud partitions.
