Description
Beaumont Leys House is a red brick house dating from around 1700, featuring a slate roof. The front of the house has three gables, with the central gable being smaller than the others. It is two storeys tall with an attic and has five windows that have brick segmental arches and restored sashes with glazing bars set in moulded casings. The attic windows are similar but smaller and are located in the gables. The central doorway has a brick segmental arch and a rectangular fanlight with glazing bars, framed by a heavy moulded doorcase and a fielded panel door. The north elevation also has two gables with slate roofs.
Inside, the house boasts a panelled hall and landing with an elliptical archway, as well as panelled front rooms on both the ground and first floors. There is a notable contemporary dog-leg staircase that serves all floors, featuring a moulded string, twisted balusters and newels, a moulded handrail, and a ball finial, along with a panelled dado.
