Description
Monks Rest House is a former vicarage built in the early to mid-19th century. The building is finished in stucco, with a rusticated ground floor and a parapet cornice. It has three storeys and a slate roof. The façade features three windows, with the ends projecting and adorned with moulded cornices. The windows are sashes with glazing bars and margin-lights, and the first-floor end windows have cornices supported by console brackets, along with ornate iron aprons. The central first-floor window is highlighted by a pediment and pilasters. At the center of the building, there is a semi-circular enclosed porch that includes a curved panelled door and sashes, which are separated by pilasters that support an entablature with a plain frieze and a dentilled cornice. Above this, ornate railings form a balcony for the first-floor window.
