Description

No. 17 Kirkgate is a building from the second quarter of the 19th century. It is two storeys high and has two windows. The structure is made of red brick and features a stone frieze and a moulded eaves cornice beneath a Welsh slate roof. The sash windows have stone voussoirs and cills, although the original window bars are no longer present, and the second-floor windows have been altered. A modern shop front extends over the adjacent buildings, Nos. 19 and 21. This building is included in the listing partly for its group value with nearby structures.
