Description

A group of three canal locks, dating from circa 1769, and engineered by John Smeaton. The locks have stone sides, with some repairs evident. A rough sett pavement runs between the locks on the north side. Culverts are located on the south side. The locks have two pairs of wooden gates, fitted with steel box-section push-bars.
