Description
The pedestal and lower part of the cross, located approximately 3 metres south of the porch of the Church of St. Luke and All Saints, is likely from the late medieval period. It is made of magnesian limestone. The pedestal measures about 1 metre square at its base, featuring four round-topped corners, and is otherwise octagonal, standing approximately 1/3 metre high with two steps of moulding. At the center, there is a square socket that holds a worn shaft, which is about 1 metre high and has chamfered corners. The top of the shaft shows marks from a former sundial plate.
