Description
The guide post at the junction with Hardwick Lane is a likely early 18th-century structure made of magnesian limestone. It is a small square post, approximately 38 centimeters on each side and 60 centimeters high. The post features inscriptions on at least three faces: the south side reads "Hardwic(k)" with the "k" eroded, the east side reads "Doncaste(r)" with the "r" eroded, and the north side is illegible.
