Description

Wakefield Bridge is an early to mid 14th century structure made of coursed, squared, and smoothed stone. It features nine shallow pointed arches, which are separated by pointed cutwaters resting on platform bases. The bridge has plain parapets with splayed ends. It has been widened twice, first in 1758 and again in 1797.
