Description
The Temple of Leod Lud, located approximately 300 metres due south of the Rotunda in the Black Fen Pleasure Grounds, is an ornamental garden temple built in the mid-18th century. Constructed from weathered ashlar stone, it features a stone slate roof and is a single-storey structure. Access is gained via three steps leading up to a podium, which supports a Tuscan portico that is distyle in antis. The temple is adorned with an entablature and a triangular pediment. The return walls include plain rectangular windows and a deep cornice that extends from the front. This temple is part of a formal garden layout, from which six avenues radiate outward.
