Description
The Open Temple at the west end of the Quarter Mile Walk in Bramham Park is a Grade I listed structure, likely built in the early 18th century. Constructed from magnesian limestone ashlar, it showcases a classical style. The temple is a cubic single cell featuring a pedimented three-bay facade. It has Tuscan corner pilasters and an entablature that frames a square opening. This opening contains a Venetian screen supported by short Tuscan columns and responds, along with a moulded central arch that includes a keystone, and an oculus on each side. The prominent moulded pediment adds to its architectural significance, while all other surfaces remain plain.
