Description

Bollard located at the junction with Oxford Place, dating from the mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and stands approximately 1 meter high. The bollard features moulding at the base and neck, topped with a flattened ball. Oxford Row was established in 1822, connecting to the earlier St James' Street, which is south of Woodhouse Lane. Great George Street was developed around 1840, with most of the south side constructed in the 1850s.
