Description
33 and 33A Great George Street is a mid-19th century office building with later alterations. It is constructed of brick in Flemish bond and has a slate roof with a stack on the right. The building stands three storeys tall and features four first-floor windows, with the facade slightly angled at the center.
On the ground floor, there are plate-glass shop and office windows that flank a glazed door, with a fascia and cornice that are obscured by name boards. To the far right, there is a recessed six-panel door with an overlight. The upper floors have plate-glass sash windows with stone sills and slightly-cambered rubbed brick arches. The building also features dentilled eaves and paired gutter brackets.
The interior has not been inspected. This building is part of the development along Oxford Place and Great George Street, which was established by 1866.
