Description
The Grange is a mid-19th century house constructed of finely dressed stone with a stone slate roof. The house is symmetrical, with a three-bay by three-bay facade. It has a plinth and a pilastered doorcase surmounted by an entablature and cornice, approached by a long flight of stone steps. The windows are four-pane sashes with lintels and slightly projecting sills. A bracketed eaves cornice runs around the house, and the roof is hipped with two ridge stacks and a third stack on the left-hand roof pitch. A lower service wing is attached to the rear, with a modern concrete tile roof. The right-hand return front features canted bay windows on the ground floor, with cornices and blocking courses.
