Description
These are farm buildings that have been converted into cottages, dating from the early 19th century, with changes made in the 20th century. They are constructed from coursed squared gritstone and topped with a stone slate roof. The buildings are two storeys high and consist of four bays, with the right two-bay block being taller.
On the right side, there is a blocked cart entrance on the left with a flat voussoir arch, two doors with overlights in the center, and square windows featuring stone sills and lintels, along with end stacks. The left side has two plain doors, a window between them, and two square windows located under the eaves. There are large 19th-century gates attached to the left return.
The interior has not been inspected. These cottages may have originally been part of the Park Farm complex, adapted for estate workers' accommodation. Thomas Nicholson laid out Roundhay Park between 1803 and 1820, and the estate was further altered when it became the property of Leeds Corporation in 1872.
