Description

Park Cottages comprise a terrace of seven houses dating from the early 19th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. The cottages are constructed of coursed squared gritstone and ashlar, with a slate roof. They present two storeys and a basement, with eight windows on the north front. Corner pilasters are a feature of the design. Modern porches have been added. The windows are sash windows, lacking glazing bars. Short stone stacks are situated between the properties, projecting forward from the ridge. The rear elevation, facing Mansion Lane, features an arcaded basement of eleven bays, with a string course above. Above the basement, eleven bays of ground and first floors are divided by stone pilasters. Small casements are fitted, with plain stone sills and lintels. The interior has not been inspected.
