Description
This is a pair of lamp posts located approximately 3 meters to the west of the Church of St Thomas in Leeds. They date from the mid-19th century and feature stone plinths with cast-iron standards. Each lamp post stands about 3 meters tall, with square bases and tapering standards that rise from elaborately moulded bases adorned with ball feet and shields depicting St George and the dragon in relief. The lamp posts have ladder arms and moulded lamp bases, although the lamps themselves are missing. These lamp posts are included for their group value.
