Description
Guilders Cottage is a house that was later converted into two cottages and is now a single property. It dates from the late 17th century, with the roof raised in the 18th century and alterations made in the 20th century. The building has two storeys above cellars and features two bays. The right side has quoins, and there are two-light mullioned windows, which have been altered and now have modern frames. The central entrance on the roadside has also been rebuilt. There are end stacks and a rear outshut. Inside, the cottage has longitudinal ceiling beams and a stone fireplace. The property is associated with the local weaving trade, with a mill located in the nearby valley.
