Description
Meeting House Cottage, with an attached stable, is a building likely dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century. It served as the warden's cottage for the Friends' Meeting House nearby. The structure is built of coursed squared sandstone, which is now strap-pointed, and features quoins and a stone slate roof. It has a rectangular single-depth plan and stands two storeys high. The chamfered doorway is slightly offset to the right of centre, and there are two 16-pane sash windows on each floor, all with raised sills. Gable chimneys are present. To the left, there is a single-storey stable that has been altered to serve as a meeting room. This building is included for its group value with the adjacent Meeting House.
