Description

A row of five cottages located in Fulneck, dating to the late 18th and early 19th centuries (numbers 19 and 21 being the earlier examples). The cottages are constructed of hammer-dressed stone with stone slate roofs. Numbers 23, 25, and 27, on the left side of the row, are lower in height and incorporate quoins. Each cottage originally comprised a single room, double-depth. Each has a doorway with monolithic jambs, and a one- or two-light flat-faced mullioned window to each floor. A single-light window (now blocked) is located above the door of number 21. The cottages feature end stacks and one additional ridge stack. These cottages form part of the Moravian settlement of Fulneck.
