Description

This lamp post, dating from the mid-19th century, is located at the junction of Moor Lane and New Street. It features an ashlar base that is square in plan with chamfered corners, and it becomes bulbous higher up. The iron stand includes a moulded plinth, a stem decorated with acanthus ornamentation, and a cross bar. There are also four spur stones associated with the lamp post.
