Description
Milton Congregational Chapel Sunday School was built in 1883 and features hammer dressed stone with ashlar dressings and a pitched slate roof. This two-storey building has a picturesque skyline that includes, from west to east, a canted hipped roofed bay, two gables, a hipped dormer, and a symmetrical five-windowed section that rises higher than the rest, topped by a large hipped gable. The east elevation is nearly symmetrical, showcasing three ranges of windows flanked by two gables. The windows vary in style, with some being pointed, others trabeated, and most being mullioned and transomed, many adorned with Geometrical bar tracery. The building also features hoodmoulds, some of which have figurative label stops. The entrance is located in a moulded two-centred arched porch in antis, which is topped with a parapet.
