Description
Nos 2, 3, and 4 France Fold form a late 18th-century terrace, constructed from hammer-dressed stone with quoins on the east side and a stone slate roof. The south-east elevation features three original doorways with deep lintels, although the doorway for No 2 is partially blocked and there is a later doorway added to No 2. The ground floor windows have mostly been altered, while No 3 retains a 4-light stone mullioned window, albeit with two of its mullions removed. On the first floor, each dwelling has two 2-light stone mullioned windows, and Nos 2 and 3 were originally fitted with 6 or 7-light windows.
