Description
Nos 66, 68, and 70 on Thirstin Road are three dwellings forming a block, with No 70 located to the north and Nos 66 and 68 to the south. No 70 dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century, while Nos 66 and 68 were built in the early to mid-19th century. No 70 was likely reroofed in the mid-19th century. The buildings are constructed of hammer-dressed stone and feature quoins on Nos 66 and 68. They have a stone slate roof. No 70 is two storeys high, while Nos 66 and 68 are three storeys.
The north elevation of No 70, which was formerly two terraced dwellings, has a single bay with two 5-light stone mullioned windows and a ground floor entrance, one of which has a timber canopy. On the south elevation of Nos 66 and 68, the ground floor includes a modern extension to the right and an enlarged window to the left. The first floor has one 6-light stone mullioned window, with two lights blocked, and one 3-light stone mullioned window. The second floor features one 6-light, one 2-light, and one 3-light stone mullioned window, with raised sills on the upper floor windows.
