Description

Sundial House is a pair of houses built around 1870, constructed from hammer dressed stone with a stone slate roof. The buildings are two storeys high, and the south elevation features three bays of single sash windows for each dwelling. The doorway lintel of No 38 has the inscription 'SUNDIAL HOUSE'. At the junction of the two houses, there is an inclined stone sundial with a gnomon, inscribed with the name John Sanderson and the date AD 1791. The sundial is also listed as Grade II.
