Description
Jerusalem Farmhouse is an early 19th-century cottage that was originally a barn, constructed from hammer-dressed stone with a pitched stone slate roof. The building features coped gables on moulded footstones and has one gable and one central stack. Moulded stone brackets support the gutter along a string course.
The farmhouse is two storeys high. On the southeast elevation, the ground floor includes an entrance with stone surrounds and tie-stones, featuring deep reveals. There are two three-light stone mullioned windows with a double lintel. The first floor has five three-light stone mullioned windows. The former barn section has a central doorway with a semi-circular arched head, which has been partially blocked to create a garage doorway, along with a single light.
On the northwest elevation, the ground floor has an entrance within a porch, a three-light stone mullioned window, and two two-light stone mullioned windows (one located within the porch). The first floor features three three-light stone mullioned windows, one former three-light stone mullioned window that has been blocked to two lights, and two two-light stone mullioned windows.
