Description
86 New North Road is a mid-19th century building constructed of ashlar stone, featuring a pitched fish-scale slate roof. It stands two storeys high with attics and has a parapet. The façade includes two ranges of bipartite mullioned sash windows. The west range projects slightly and is topped with a gable supported by kneelers, which features a vase-shaped finial and a triangular cusped window. There is a shallow canted bay that displays Perpendicular style panelling in the area between the windows, along with a crenellated parapet. The entrance door is adorned with traceried lights and is framed by a four-centred arch, flanked by buttresses and topped with a gable that has a blind trefoil.
