Description

Sigston House is a farmhouse dated 1634, with later alterations. It is constructed of thinly coursed rubble with quoins, and has a tiled roof. The building is two storeys high. The ground floor features double-chamfered windows; one is a 5-light window, and two are 4-light windows, one of which has had two mullions removed. A large, later 2-light window is also present. At the first floor level are three 4-light stone mullioned windows, likely dating to the 19th century. A rear outshut contains a central door with a deep lintel featuring an ogee arch and the inscription "1634". To the right of the door is a 4-light window that has been partly rebuilt, while to the left are 19th-century openings.
