Description
The tower at the rear of Armitage Bridge Mill is a mid-19th century structure built from hammer-dressed stone with ashlar dressings. It features a pyramidal lead roof and consists of four stages that slightly diminish in size, each topped with a moulded cornice. The second stage is the tallest and has three continuous vertical panels, each with a round arch and two superimposed slits. The third stage is framed by pilasters and includes one clock on each face. The fourth stage has three round-arched louvred openings.
