Description

Mock Hall is a detached house dating from the 17th century, originally known as Mockbeggar Hall and referred to in 1731. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with quoins, and has a stone slate roof with gable copings and three later brick stacks. The house is two storeys high, with three bays and an outshut to the rear. A Tudor-arched doorway is positioned nearly centrally. To the left of the entrance is a twelve-light mullioned and transomed window. A large two-light window occupies the far left, and to the right is a later three-light window and a later doorway, both set under a hood mould. On the first floor, there are three four-light windows, all double chamfered. A small, single-storey addition, likely from the 18th century, is located on the left gable. The outshut to the rear provides additional space.
