Description
Water Hall is a house dated 1719, with later additions and significant alterations made in 1915. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone and features quoins. The stone slate roof has gable copings on cut kneelers, and there are later ashlar gable stacks. The building has two storeys and includes a central 20th-century stone gabled porch that fits the style.
On the ground floor, there is a 4-light window on each side, while the first floor has a 3-light window on each side, all with double chamfered detailing. To the left, there is a lower addition with a stone upper floor and a brick ground floor, featuring raised quoins and 3-light windows likely from around 1915. There are also small round-arched fire-windows on both the left and right gables.
At the rear, there is a central doorway with a moulded surround and a Tudor-arched deep lintel inscribed with "I B 1719." Above this doorway is a plaque dated 1915. Flanking the doorway are two-storey canted bays from 1915, which have parapets and chamfered windows. Additionally, there is a further extension at the back of the addition that matches the character of the bays.
