Description
Nos 52, 54, 56, 58, 60, and 62 on Old Road form a terrace built in the early 19th century, although it has been altered over time. The buildings are constructed from hammer-dressed stone and feature quoins, with a stone slate roof that is partially covered in bitumen. The terrace consists of one and three storeys, with six doorways and several single and two-light windows. There is a small lean-to extension at the center.
On the rear elevation, many of the window and door surrounds have been rendered, and some mullions have been removed. Each dwelling has an entrance and either a three or four-light window. The three dwellings on the left have an additional blocked doorway. No 56 features two later sash windows. On the first floor, each dwelling has one two-light and one three-light window, with No 56 again having two later sash windows. The second floor includes four six-light windows, two of which have two blocked lights, along with one altered four-light window, one three-light window, and two two-light windows, one of which has been altered.
