Description

This is a Grade II listed chimney made of hammer dressed sandstone with a brick inner lining. It has an octagonal shape and rises to over 30 metres in height. The chimney is divided into unequal stages by three string courses: the base is marked by a plain ashlar course, while two roll moulding courses create a frieze near the top, featuring slim recessed panels on each face. The chimney is capped with a decorative oversailing cap that is supported by paired consoles.
