Description

This barn, located 10 meters to the southwest of Upper Bottomley Farmhouse, is likely from the mid 18th century and is built from unmortared rubble with rough dressed quoins and a stone slate roof. It features a single aisle that projects forward from a square-headed cart entry at the arcade plate point. There are two mistal doorways to the aisle, each with monolithic jambs. The left-hand return wall has a wide gable that includes three triangular ventilators and a rectangular ventilator at the apex. Inside, the barn is supported by queen-post trusses.
