Description

Lower North Royd is a traditional stone house dated 1699, located on the east side of Green Lane. The building features eaves and end gables beneath a stone roof and is two storeys high. It has two long mullioned windows on each storey, each with continuous drip moulding. The arched doorway has scrolled ends to the drip moulding over the lintel, and there is a date tablet above inscribed with "RVN." A circular window is set above in a square panel. To the east, there are farm buildings that likely date from the 18th century, which are included in the group value context.
