Description
Nos. 14 and 14A on Crowtrees Lane are a pair of cottages built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed stone and feature a stone slate roof. The cottages are two storeys high and face the main road. Each cottage has three bays, with flat-faced mullioned windows consisting of four lights in each bay, except for the right-hand bay which has a three-light window above. Between the first and second bays, there are paired doorways with monolithic jambs, one of which is solid. The roof has gutter brackets and three stacks along the ridge of its two-span design. At the rear, the double-pile structure includes a large staircase window with a semi-circular head and a three-light flat-faced mullioned window on the first floor.
