Description

The boundary stone, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, is located in the eastern parapet of the bridge at the junction with Turbury Lane in Norland. This rectangular stone post is built into the parapet, with only the front face currently visible. The front face features a weathered inscription that reads: "(Mid) ? Stone of/Norland/and/Elland", along with a later benchmark positioned below. This stone marks the boundary between the parishes of Sowerby Bridge and Elland.
