Description
Nos 4-6 on Church Street in Ilkley, dating from around 1750, are two-storey buildings constructed of dressed coursed stone. They feature two sash windows with slab surrounds, although the lower left window has been replaced with a modern shop window, and the lower right has been converted into a bow window. The buildings have a stone slab roof.
To the left, there is an extension that includes a three-light window with slab surrounds and mullions, positioned above an arched through-passage with a segmental head. The right-hand extension has two closely set sash windows with slab surrounds above a 19th-century projecting shopfront. Both extensions are topped with gable copings and kneelers at their outer ends.
Nos 4-6 are part of a group that includes the Parish Church of All Saints, three stone crosses located south of the church, seven headstones grouped southwest of the church, and Nos 12-18 (even) Church Street.
