Description

Rose Cottage is a pair of cottages located in Exley, dating from the early to mid-19th century. They are constructed from coursed, squared, watershot stone and feature a stone slate roof. Each cottage is two storeys high and consists of one bay. The left side of each cottage has a 20th-century door set in a flush stone surround, with a three-light flat-faced mullion window to the right and above. There is a stack positioned to the right. The left gable includes a shaped kneeler and ashlar coping.
