Description
Haigh Fold, located on Moorside Road in Eccleshill/Upper Fagley, is likely a late 17th century or early 18th century farmhouse that was altered and extended into cottages in the later part of the 18th century. The building is two storeys high, constructed of sandstone "brick" with stone slate roofs. The windows of Nos 1 and 3 have been renewed. No 5 is the earliest part of the structure and has undergone the least alteration, featuring a gabled break with flush quoins. The gable includes a blind vertical bull's eye, saddlestone, and shaped kneelers. On the first floor, there is a two-light chamfered mullion window in a splayed reveal, which was originally a four-light window. The ground floor has a three-light chamfered mullion window that was originally five lights. The doorways have squared jambs.
